Barcelona youngster Jofre Torrents to start new chapter at Ajax

Barcelona have announced that defender Jofre Torrents will join Ajax during the current summer transfer window, after the two clubs reached an agreement over his transfer.

The Catalan club confirmed the move in a statement posted on its official account on X, saying: “Jofre Torrents will move to Ajax.”

Barcelona added: “Barcelona and Ajax have reached an agreement for the transfer of defender Jofre Torrents to the Dutch club.”

The announcement confirms that Torrents will leave Barcelona for Ajax, although the club statement did not disclose financial details, the length of the agreement or when the transfer will formally take effect.
