Lus. Evora bring in Angola-Portugal goalkeeper Ricardo Batista on loan
Ricardo Batista, the 39-year-old goalkeeper with Angolan and Portuguese nationality, has joined Lus. Evora from Casa Pia on loan. The move was completed on 17 August 2026 and takes Batista from Portugal’s top division to Liga 3.
Batista leaves Casa Pia, who compete in Liga Portugal, to join Lus. Evora in the country’s third tier. His arrival gives the Liga 3 club a goalkeeper with experience of playing at a higher level, although the available transfer details do not include the length of the loan agreement.
The transfer also represents a change of club for a player who had been part of Casa Pia’s squad. Batista’s position is goalkeeper, and he now becomes part of Lus. Evora’s playing group following the switch between the two Portuguese competitions.
At 39, Batista is among the more senior players involved in the move. His dual Angolan and Portuguese nationality provides further detail about his background, while the transfer itself keeps him in Portugal after his departure from Casa Pia.
Lus. Evora have completed the loan signing of Ricardo Batista from Casa Pia.
