Savinho one step away from Tottenham move, report says
Savinho is reportedly one step away from completing a move from Manchester City to Tottenham, with an agreement already reached over a contract that would run until 2032.
The 22-year-old Brazilian winger has been linked with Tottenham since last summer, and transfer-market journalist Nicolo Schira says the deal is now close to becoming official.
Schira reports that only one final step remains before Savinho’s transfer to Tottenham can be formally completed. He also says Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has played an important role in helping to secure the agreement.
Savinho remains under contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2031, but the reported move would bring an end to his time at the club after two seasons.
The winger joined Manchester City in the summer of 2024 from French club Troyes for a reported fee of 25m euros. He had attracted attention during a loan spell with Spanish side Girona, where his performances helped establish him as one of the most promising young players in European football.
Since moving to Manchester City, Savinho has made 84 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists. He has also represented Brazil 13 times at international level and has scored once for his country.
His possible move to Tottenham would reunite him with De Zerbi, who is reported to have been a key figure in negotiations over the player’s arrival. The agreement between Savinho and Tottenham is understood to cover a contract through to 2032.
Although no official announcement has yet been made, the latest report suggests the transfer is at an advanced stage. Savinho’s existing long-term commitment to Manchester City means the clubs would still need to complete the formal process before the move can be confirmed.
Savinho’s name was first connected with Tottenham during the previous summer transfer window. Those links have now resurfaced with the player said to be close to agreeing a switch to the London club.
The Brazil international’s record at Manchester City includes seven goals and 16 assists in 84 matches, while his 13 appearances for the national team have produced one goal. Tottenham’s reported agreement with the player would keep him at the club until 2032 if the final stage of the transfer is completed.
