Rodrigo Dudok Rivero will travel to Germany on Sunday to begin a 10-day training spell with Bayern Munich’s first team, giving the 19-year-old Uruguay winger an opportunity to demonstrate his ability at one of Europe’s leading clubs.

Dudok Rivero has established himself as an important player for Racing Montevideo in recent weeks, but he was not involved in the club’s match on Sunday as preparations were made for his journey to Germany.

Uruguay media reports say the left winger will train with Bayern Munich’s senior squad throughout the next 10 days. The club will then assess his performances before deciding what the next step should be in his development.

Dudok Rivero currently represents Uruguay at youth level and remains under contract with Racing Montevideo. His club is owned by Red&Gold Football, a joint group involving Bayern Munich and Los Angeles FC.

That partnership has allowed Bayern Munich to monitor emerging talent in Uruguay closely. Dudok Rivero’s trial provides the German club with a chance to evaluate one of those young players directly in a first-team environment, while the teenager will be able to work under the supervision of Bayern’s senior coaching staff.
