Caudal Deportivo add Equatorial Guinea-Spain defender Cristian Ebea after Llanera exit

Equatorial Guinea-Spain right-back Cristian Ebea has joined Caudal Deportivo from UD Llanera on a free transfer, bringing a new defensive option to the Spanish club.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Ebea’s move to Caudal follows a spell with Llanera, whom he joined in January 2026 after a period without a club.

Ebea made 23 appearances in Segunda Federacion Group I, providing one assist, and also featured in the competition’s Group V. His playing record includes further appearances in promotion play-offs, the Copa Federation and the regional Segunda B competition.

Born in Madrid, Ebea represents the footballing connection between Spain and Equatorial Guinea through his dual nationality. He has played primarily as a right-back throughout his senior career.

Before arriving at Caudal, Ebea spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign with Llanera. His time there followed a spell away from club football after leaving Rayo Majadahonda at the start of the 2025-26 season.

He joined Rayo Majadahonda from Sporting Atletico in July 2024, also on a free transfer. Earlier in his career, Ebea played for Sporting B and UP Langreo, having initially moved into senior football after coming through Getafe’s Under-19 side.

His time at Langreo also included a loan spell with EI San Martin during the 2020-21 season before he returned to his parent club. The right-back later moved to Sporting B in August 2022.

Caudal’s agreement with Ebea gives the defender the opportunity to establish himself at another Spanish club after his recent moves between Llanera, Rayo Majadahonda and a period as a free agent. His latest recorded campaign included regular involvement in Segunda Federacion, along with appearances in domestic cup and promotion fixtures.

Ebea’s transfer to Caudal Deportivo was completed on 16 August 2026, with his contract secured through June 2027.
