El Nasr add Egypt midfielder Youssef Afifi after Al Ahly U21 exit

Egyptian midfielder Youssef Afifi has joined El Nasr on a free transfer from Al Ahly U21.

The 21-year-old plays in central midfield and moves to El Nasr after leaving Al Ahly’s under-21 side. The deal was completed on 15 August 2026, with no transfer fee involved.

Afifi spent the 2025-26 campaign with El Mokawloon after joining the club from Al Ahly U21 on loan in August 2025. He returned to Al Ahly U21 at the end of that loan spell on 30 June 2026 before making his move to El Nasr.

His senior career record includes one appearance in the Egyptian League Cup, where he played 45 minutes. He has also been registered in competitions including the Egyptian Premier League, Egypt Cup, Relegation Playoff, Championship Playoff and CAF Champions League.

Afifi was born on 1 January 2005 and represents Egypt. His move to El Nasr gives the club a central-midfield player with experience of time at both Al Ahly’s youth set-up and El Mokawloon.

The transfer marks the latest step in a career that has included two spells with Al Ahly U21, separated by his loan move to El Mokawloon. He now begins a new chapter with El Nasr in Egypt.

Afifi’s free transfer to El Nasr took effect on 15 August 2026.
