Egypt striker Mido El Attar starts new chapter with El Sekka SC

Egyptian centre-forward Mido El Attar has joined El Sekka SC from Al-Ahli on a free transfer, giving the 29-year-old a new club after his spell in Jordan.

El Attar, who prefers his right foot, completed the move on 15 August 2026. He has been valued at €50,000 and becomes part of El Sekka SC’s attacking options after playing for Al-Ahli during the 2025-26 season.

The striker’s recorded recent statistics include 18 appearances and two goals in the Jordanian Pro League, as well as two Egypt Cup appearances. His league record included 814 minutes on the pitch, with a goal every 407 minutes.

Before joining El Sekka SC, El Attar had moved to Al-Ahli from Al-Baqaa in February 2026, also on a free transfer. That short spell followed his own switch from Egyptian club Baladiya to Al-Baqaa in July 2025.

The move continues a career in which El Attar has changed clubs regularly. He joined Baladiya from El Dakhlia in January 2025, having previously represented Tersana and El Nasr. His earlier senior career also included a spell with Aswan SC, where he played on loan from El Nasr during the 2022-23 season.

El Attar initially joined El Nasr from Enppi SC Under-21 in September 2019. He later spent time at Aswan before returning to El Nasr, then moved through Tersana, El Dakhlia and Baladiya before leaving Egypt for Al-Baqaa.

His arrival gives El Sekka SC an experienced 29-year-old striker with a career spanning clubs in Egypt and Jordan. The move also marks a return to Egyptian football after his recent period with Al-Ahli.

El Attar’s transfer to El Sekka SC was completed as a free move on 15 August 2026.
