Youcef Belaïli breaks silence after Mouloudia d’Alger contract claim

Youcef Belaïli has disputed Mouloudia d’Alger’s claim that he had signed a binding contract with the Algerian club, insisting the document was only a pre-contract that has since expired.

The Algeria international gave his version of events in a telephone interview with El Heddaf, just hours after Mouloudia d’Alger issued an official statement claiming it held a signed contract with the forward.

Belaïli said his situation had to be viewed in the context of his suspension and the status of his existing agreement with Mouloudia d’Alger at the time.

“ I was sanctioned, and my contract in Algeria with MCA was due to expire after 10 days ,” the Algerian striker stated.

According to Belaïli, the document he signed with the Algiers club did not represent a final agreement. Instead, he described it as a pre-contract and argued that it was no longer valid.

” It was a pre-contract, and it has now expired ,” he added.

His comments directly challenge the position taken by Mouloudia d’Alger, who maintained in their statement that the club possessed an “official document” and had a “contractual relationship” with the player.

MCA also insisted that its previous public statements concerning Belaïli were based on a contract that had been signed by the player.

The dispute follows Belaïli’s decision to return to Espérance de Tunis, with the Tunisian club having officially announced his arrival.

The Algerian forward also rejected the accusations and various interpretations surrounding his decision to choose Espérance over Mouloudia d’Alger.

” Stop making people lie, it’s God’s will ,” he declared during his statement.

Belaïli went on to explain why he ultimately opted to continue his career in Tunisia. He said Espérance had shown a genuine desire to secure his services, which influenced his decision.

” Taraji really wanted me and I signed with them ,” affirmed the Algerian international.

His comments have added another layer to a dispute that had already escalated following Mouloudia d’Alger’s statement.

The two sides now have opposing interpretations of the document signed by Belaïli. MCA maintains that the agreement gives the club grounds to defend its position, while the player argues that it was only a pre-contract and that the document had expired.

That difference could become significant if the disagreement cannot be resolved between the parties.

With Belaïli now committed to Espérance according to his own statement, the disagreement with Mouloudia d’Alger remains unresolved.

The dispute could eventually move into the legal sphere if the two sides fail to reach an agreement, leaving the future of the case uncertain.

For now, Belaïli has made his position clear: he considers the document with Mouloudia d’Alger to have been a pre-contract that expired, while the Algerian club continues to maintain that it has contractual rights.
