Smouha complete four-year deal for El Sekka El Hadid player Ahmed Saleh
Smouha have completed the signing of Ahmed Saleh from El Sekka El Hadid, with the player agreeing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The deal covers four seasons and represents Smouha’s latest piece of business as they prepare for the 2026-27 Egyptian Premier League campaign. Saleh arrives from El Sekka El Hadid, who will compete in the Egyptian Professional League next season.
Saleh, who previously played for Nabrouh before joining El Sekka El Hadid, has now secured his move to Smouha after the two clubs completed the agreement. His contract is understood to run for four seasons, taking him through to 2030.
The signing comes as Smouha continue preparations for the new Egyptian Premier League season. The club’s opening fixture will be against Al Masry, with the match scheduled to take place at New Suez Stadium.
Smouha finished sixth in last season’s Egyptian Premier League table. They ended the campaign behind Zamalek, Pyramids, Al Ahly, Ceramica Cleopatra and Al Masry.
That final league position places the club among the sides now looking ahead to the demands of the 2026-27 season, with Saleh becoming part of the squad assembled for the campaign. His arrival also marks a move from the Egyptian Professional League to the top division, following his spell with El Sekka El Hadid.
El Sekka El Hadid are set to play in the Egyptian Professional League during the coming season, while Smouha will begin their own campaign in the Egyptian Premier League. The contrast between the two clubs’ competitions will form the backdrop to Saleh’s move, which has been agreed on a long-term basis.
Saleh’s career before joining Smouha included a period with Nabrouh, followed by his time at El Sekka El Hadid. He will now continue his career with a club preparing to start the new top-flight season against Al Masry at New Suez Stadium.
For Smouha, the agreement is the latest development ahead of a campaign in which they will seek to build on their sixth-place finish. Zamalek, Pyramids, Al Ahly, Ceramica Cleopatra and Al Masry were the five teams above them in the previous season’s standings.
The 2026-27 Egyptian Premier League will therefore begin with Smouha facing Al Masry, while Saleh’s former club El Sekka El Hadid prepare for life in the Egyptian Professional League. His four-year contract means the new signing is committed to Smouha until 2030.
