Al Masry beat Moroccan side Kawkab Marrakech 3-0 in their second pre-season friendly as they continued preparations for the new campaign.

All three goals came before half-time, with Karim Bambo opening the scoring in the eighth minute. The forward found the net with a powerful effort to give the Green Eagles an early lead.

Mohamed Hashem doubled Al Masry’s advantage in the 23rd minute, heading home to make it 2-0. Monzer Tameen completed the scoring four minutes before the interval after breaking clear from the halfway line and finishing his one-on-one opportunity.

Al Masry finished the match with only nine players after Abdel Rahim Dagmoum and Salah Mohsen were sent off during the final five minutes. The two players were dismissed following an altercation between members of the two teams.

The Egyptian club are holding their pre-season training camp in Marrakech, where they will remain until Sunday, 16 August.

Al Masry began the match with Mahmoud Hamdy in goal. Their defence consisted of Ameed Sawafeta, Mohamed Hashem, Mostafa El Ash and Mohamed Shokry, while Yassin El Mallah, Hussein Faisal and Mostafa Zidan operated in midfield.

Karim Bambo, Monzer Tameen and Ahmed Sharaf formed the attacking line-up.

Head coach Emad El Nahhas made a series of changes after the interval. Essam Tharwat, Baher El Mohamady, Abdullah El Zayani, Mostafa Abu El Kheir, Mohamed El Shamy, Abdel Rahim Dagmoum and Salah Mohsen were introduced.

They replaced Mahmoud Hamdy, Ameed Sawafeta, Yassin El Mallah, Mostafa Zidan, Ahmed Sharaf, Karim Bambo and Monzer Tameen.

The victory represents a positive response after Al Masry lost their opening match of the training camp 3-2 against Nahdat Zemamra.

Their next competitive fixture will be a demanding Egyptian Premier League match against Smouha on Saturday, 22 August. The club will use the remainder of their stay in Morocco to continue preparing for the start of the league campaign.
