Real Madrid recruit Pablo Belusio for C team after Rayo Vallecano breakthrough

Real Madrid have signed teenage right-back Pablo Belusio from Rayo Vallecano, continuing their strategy of strengthening the club’s structure with promising young players.

Belusio, who was born in 2007, has joined Real Madrid C, according to Alvaro Esteban, a journalist who specialises in reporting on the Spanish club. The move represents the first step in his development within Real Madrid’s academy system.

Spanish newspaper AS reported in April that Real Madrid were working to complete a deal for Belusio, who was regarded as one of the leading emerging talents at Rayo Vallecano’s academy.

Although Belusio operates primarily as a right-back, his style is strongly influenced by attacking football. AS described him as a right-back “with a winger’s spirit”, highlighting the forward-thinking qualities that helped him attract attention during the previous season.

Belusio played for Rayo Vallecano B in the Spanish second division last season. He made a notable impact in April when he scored after coming on as a substitute during his side’s 3-1 victory over Intercity.

His arrival at Real Madrid C places him within a pathway designed to develop young talent before possible progression to Castilla and, eventually, the first team. Real Madrid C is an important staging point for players entering the club’s senior development structure, with their progress managed through the different levels of La Fabrica.

The transfer is the latest example of Real Madrid recruiting young players with the potential to develop inside the club rather than moving directly into the first-team squad. Belusio will now continue his development with Real Madrid C after emerging through Rayo Vallecano’s youth system.

His attacking approach from the right side is expected to remain a central part of his profile as he adapts to the demands of his new club. The opportunity also gives him a place within the wider Real Madrid system, where young players can work towards an eventual move to Castilla and the senior team.

Belusio’s goal against Intercity was his most eye-catching moment last season. Having entered the match from the bench, he found the net in a 3-1 win for Rayo Vallecano B and further underlined why Real Madrid had identified him as a player for the future.

The 2007-born defender now begins the next stage of his career at Real Madrid C, following the agreement between the club and Rayo Vallecano.
