Lens linked with Nuremberg forward Mohamed Ali Zoma

Italian-Ivorian forward Mohamed Ali Zoma of 1. FC Nuremberg has been linked with a move to Lens in Ligue 1, with the transfer remaining at the rumour stage.

Zoma, 22, has made a strong start to the 2026-27 2. Bundesliga campaign, scoring three goals in his only appearance so far. He started that match and played 94% of the available minutes, accounting for all of Nuremberg’s goal participation in the game.

The second striker joined Nuremberg from Italian club UC AlbinoLeffe in August 2025 in a deal worth €1.5m. He had previously progressed through AlbinoLeffe’s academy before making the move to Germany.

Zoma’s performances have now been linked with a possible move to Lens, who compete in France’s top flight. No transfer has been confirmed, and there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs or with the player.

He remains under contract with Nuremberg until 30 June 2029, meaning the German club is not under immediate pressure to sell. Zoma’s current market value is listed at €8m, although that figure does not represent a confirmed asking price or transfer fee.

For now, Zoma remains a Nuremberg player and has the opportunity to build on his early-season return as the transfer speculation continues.
