Ceramica Cleopatra complete seventh summer signing with Mohamed Emad arrival
Ceramica Cleopatra have signed midfielder Mohamed Emad from El Gouna during the current summer transfer window, making him the club’s seventh recruitment of the off-season.
The club confirmed the move on its official social media channels, announcing: “Mohamed Emad strengthens our midfield for the new season.”
Emad began his career in the youth system at Al Ahly before joining El Gouna in 2023. He spent three years with the club after making that move, establishing himself as a player capable of operating in midfield and on the wing.
The player featured in 54 matches last season. He also played 32 games in all competitions during the campaign, scoring six goals.
His arrival continues an active summer for Ceramica Cleopatra, who have now added seven players to their squad ahead of the new season. The club had previously signed Mohamed Alaa, N. Gradisar, Peter Korkis, Fawzi El-Hanawy, Khaled El-Nabrees and Mohamed El-Sayed Sheika.
Ceramica Cleopatra have also seen several players leave during the transfer window. Fakhri Lakay, Samuel Amadi, Mohamed Adel, Mohamed Tony and Khaled Abdel-Fattah have departed the club.
Emad’s move gives Ceramica Cleopatra another option in the centre of the pitch, while his ability to play as a winger provides additional depth in attacking areas. His goalscoring record last season was also a notable feature of his campaign, with six goals recorded across his 32 appearances in all competitions.
The signing comes after Ceramica Cleopatra finished last season in fourth place in the Championship Group standings. Their recruitment drive this summer has included players in a number of positions as they prepare for the new campaign.
The club’s announcement described Emad specifically as a midfield addition, despite his experience on the wing. His prior development at Al Ahly and subsequent spell with El Gouna form the background to his move to Ceramica Cleopatra.
Ceramica Cleopatra will hope their latest addition can build on his performances for El Gouna and contribute to another competitive season. Emad becomes the latest player to join the squad as the club reshapes its options following last season’s fourth-place finish in the Championship Group.
