Karim Zedadka linked with Empoli in Serie B switch

Algerian-French midfielder Karim Zedadka is the subject of a reported move from Serie B side Sudtirol to fellow second-tier club Empoli.

Zedadka, 26, joined Sudtirol from Luxembourg club Hesperange in July 2024 and has a contract with the Italian side until 30 June 2027. He is valued at €400,000.

The left-sided midfielder has made 62 Serie B appearances during his career, scoring twice and providing two assists. His earlier experience in the division includes a loan spell at Ascoli during the 2023-24 season, before he returned to Hesperange and subsequently moved permanently to Sudtirol.

Empoli are also competing in Serie B, meaning the reported move would keep Zedadka in the same division should it go ahead. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the link remains at the rumour stage.

Zedadka began his senior career after moving from Napoli’s under-19 side to the club’s first team in 2020. He also spent time on loan at Cavese and Belgian club R Charleroi before leaving Napoli for Hesperange in 2023.

He has represented both Algeria and France at nationality level, while his club career has included appearances in Serie A, Serie B and Belgium’s top flight. For now, he remains a Sudtirol player under contract through June 2027.
