Pyramids sign Ahmed Abdel Kader from Al-Karma on four-year contract

Pyramids FC have announced the signing of Ahmed Abdel Kader from Iraqi club Al-Karma on a four-year contract.

The deal had previously been reported by FilGoal, with the player completing the formalities of his move to Pyramids after agreeing terms with the club. Amr Bassiouny, Pyramids’ director of contracts, oversaw the completion of the transfer.

Abdel Kader joined Al-Karma in January after leaving Al Ahly. He made 14 appearances for the Iraqi side, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

The 26-year-old has played 236 matches for various clubs during his career. He has scored 46 goals and created 27 more, giving him a total of 73 goal contributions.

His arrival is Pyramids’ second signing of the summer so far. The club had previously brought in Eyad El Askalany to strengthen their defence.

Pyramids will begin the new season under South African head coach Rulani Mokwena, who took charge ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The club finished last season’s league campaign in second place, one point behind champions Zamalek.

Pyramids will open their new league season against Ghazl El Mahalla on Saturday, 22 August.
