Al-Ahli agree loan moves for Eid Al-Mawlid and Yazan Madani ahead of new season

Al-Ahli have agreed to send two young players on loan to Saudi Pro League clubs before the start of the 2026-27 football season.

Saudi journalist Waleed Saeed reported that Al-Ahli’s management had approved temporary moves for midfielder Eid Al-Mawlid and left-back Yazan Madani during the current summer transfer window.

Al-Mawlid is set to join Al-Faisaly, while Madani will move to Al-Kholoud for the coming campaign. The arrangements are intended to give both players more regular first-team football after limited opportunities at Al-Ahli.

Saeed confirmed the decisions in a post on his personal account on X, stating that Al-Ahli had agreed to loan Al-Mawlid to Al-Faisaly and Madani to Al-Kholoud.

The club believe loan spells will allow the two prospects to gain valuable playing time and continue their development. Neither player has been able to establish himself as a regular member of Al-Ahli’s first team.

Al-Mawlid joined Al-Ahli in January 2025 after moving from Al-Okhdood. However, he has not managed to secure a place in the starting line-up. He has made 33 appearances for the club, with only one of those coming as a starter, and has yet to score or provide an assist.

Madani came through Al-Ahli’s youth system before being promoted to the senior squad last summer. His first-team involvement has also been restricted, with the defender featuring in only three matches. He did not score or create a goal in any of those appearances.

The loan decisions come as Al-Ahli prepare to begin their Saudi Pro League campaign. The club are due to open the new season on Thursday with an away match against Al-Diriyah at Alawwal Park in Riyadh.

Al-Ahli’s decision to place the two players with Saudi Pro League clubs reflects the club’s intention to provide them with regular competitive football rather than keep them on the fringes of the first team. Both Al-Mawlid and Madani will now have the opportunity to increase their involvement during the 2026-27 season while remaining under the ownership of Al-Ahli.
