France confirm full Zinedine Zidane backroom team ahead of September unveiling
The French Football Federation has formally announced the complete coaching and medical structure that will work with Zinedine Zidane and the France senior men’s national team.
The full staff is due to be presented at the beginning of September, with several members having previously worked alongside Zidane during his time in charge of Real Madrid.
David Bettoni has been appointed assistant manager, while Hamidou Msaidie will serve as another assistant coach. The group also includes goalkeeper coach Fabien Barthez, strategy and performance adviser Gregory Dupont, technical observer Stephane Blanc, video data analyst assistant coach Fred Tabet and assistant video analyst Clement Eibert.
The federation said the final structure would also include a liaison officer. That position is to be filled as part of a secondment agreement between the French Football Federation and the Ministry of the Interior.
Zidane’s coaching staff is supported by a seven-member medical team. Dr Herve Collado has been named as the team doctor, with Maxime Maton, Paul Olive, Najib Remita and Pierre-Yves Freudeval appointed as physiotherapists.
