Djed Spence on Inter’s radar as £25.6m Tottenham deal takes shape

Inter Milan are in advanced negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential transfer for England full-back Djed Spence, with the Italian champions expected to make an offer worth at least £25.6m approximately 30m euros.

The move would represent a significant step in Inter’s plans to strengthen their defence ahead of next season, as the club continue an active summer transfer campaign aimed at maintaining their domestic form and improving their competitiveness in Europe.

According to the BBC, Inter have identified Spence as a leading target and talks with Tottenham have progressed. The 26-year-old is viewed as an important option for the Nerazzurri as they seek greater depth and quality at left-back.

Spence has strengthened his international standing through his involvement with England, for whom he has made eight appearances. His performances at World Cup level have added to his reputation and increased his appeal to leading clubs seeking an established defender with international experience.

The full-back started 23 Premier League matches for Tottenham last season. Those appearances came during a difficult campaign for the London club, who spent much of the season fighting to avoid the threat of relegation.

Tottenham are understood to have already begun considering potential replacements for Spence, with the possibility of his departure prompting the club to examine alternatives for the left-back position.

Spence joined Tottenham from Middlesbrough in July 2022 in a deal worth £20m. Since moving to the club, he has played 85 matches for Tottenham, establishing himself as a regular option in their defensive structure.
