National Bank of Egypt set to sign Brazilian winger Anderson Ceara

National Bank of Egypt have completed an agreement to sign Brazilian winger Anderson Ceara from Romanian club FK Csikszereda, with the player due to arrive in Cairo within hours to finalise his move.

The 27-year-old is expected to complete the formal procedures required to join National Bank of Egypt as part of the club’s preparations for the 2026-27 Egyptian Premier League season.

FilGoal.com previously reported that National Bank of Egypt had submitted an offer to FK Csikszereda for Ceara. The agreement has now been reached, and his arrival in the Egyptian capital will allow the move to progress towards completion.

Ceara joined FK Csikszereda in 2024 after his contract with Santos came to an end. He remains under contract with the Romanian side until the summer of 2028.

FK Csikszereda are currently bottom of the Romanian league table, having collected no points from their opening four matches. Ceara has featured in all four of those games but has yet to score or provide an assist this season.

During his time with the Romanian club, the Brazilian has made 86 appearances, scoring 11 goals and supplying 16 assists.

Before moving to Europe, Ceara represented several Brazilian clubs. His most prominent former sides include Santos, Santa Cruz and Maringa.

National Bank of Egypt are now preparing for the start of the new Egyptian Premier League campaign. They will begin their season against Abu Qir Fertilizers on Friday, 21 August.

The proposed addition of Ceara is part of the club’s efforts to strengthen their squad before the opening fixture. His ability to play as a winger and his previous experience in both Brazilian and Romanian football are expected to add depth to the team’s attacking options.

Ceara’s immediate focus will be completing the remaining formalities in Cairo before joining his new team. National Bank of Egypt’s first league match against Abu Qir Fertilizers will provide the next competitive milestone ahead of the 2026-27 season.
