Melky Ndokomandji makes Iraqi switch as Al-Etisalat strengthen midfield

Central African Republic midfielder Melky Ndokomandji has joined Iraqi club Al-Etisalat SC from AS Tempete, completing a move that takes the 28-year-old into a new chapter of his club career.

Ndokomandji plays as a defensive midfielder and is right-footed. Standing at 1.88m, he brings experience in a position focused on protecting the defence and supporting the transition into attack. His move to Al-Etisalat was completed on 12 August 2026.

The midfielder leaves AS Tempete after two and a half years with the Central African Republic club. He joined them on 1 January 2024 from AS Otoho, making the switch after a spell with the Congolese side.

Before moving to AS Otoho, Ndokomandji played for Ol. Real Bangui, whom he joined in July 2019. His career has therefore included clubs from the Central African Republic and the Republic of the Congo before his arrival in Iraq.

Ndokomandji’s nationality gives Al-Etisalat a new international profile in their midfield, while his age places him among the more experienced players in the latest stage of his career. His previous move to AS Tempete came without a recorded fee, and no transfer fee has been announced for his switch to Al-Etisalat.

The transfer also represents a change of domestic footballing environment for the midfielder. After spending his recent club career in Central African and Congolese football, he now continues his career with Al-Etisalat in Iraq.

Ndokomandji began his senior club journey with Ol. Real Bangui before progressing through AS Otoho and AS Tempete. He now leaves the latter to join Al-Etisalat SC, completing the transfer on 12 August 2026.
