Real Madrid keep summer signings under wraps as unveiling plans remain unknown

Real Madrid’s plans to officially present their new signings remain shrouded in uncertainty, with manager Jose Mourinho and six players yet to be unveiled despite all of them having joined the club’s preparations for the new season.

The Spanish club completed deals during the summer transfer window for Mourinho, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva, Espy and Yan Diomande. However, none of the new arrivals has been presented in the traditional formal ceremony normally used by Real Madrid, including the manager who became the first of the club’s new signings in June.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, all of the new arrivals have already spoken to the club’s official media channels. They have therefore been introduced to supporters through interviews and other content, but no player or manager has taken part in a formal presentation at the club’s usual venue.

Uncertainty over the timing of the ceremonies has continued throughout the summer. There had been reports that the new signings would be presented after the World Cup, but that expectation was not fulfilled. Neither the club, Mourinho nor the players have appeared to place significant emphasis on the presentation arrangements during the summer. That lack of activity does not necessarily mean the ceremonies will be cancelled, but it has added to the uncertainty surrounding the club’s plans.
