Hussein Rahimi targets more trophies after Al Ain’s Morocco and Spain camps
Al Ain forward Hussein Rahimi says the club’s pre-season camps in Morocco and Spain have provided strong preparation ahead of the new football season in the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE league champions held training camps in both countries as they stepped up preparations for the defence of their domestic title and their other targets for the upcoming campaign.
Rahimi described the environment within the squad as positive and believes the team benefited from the intensive preparations.
Speaking to Al Ain TV, the former Raja striker said: “The atmosphere at the camp was positive from day one, and we had a strong preparation period in preparation for the new season.”
Rahimi targets more success
Rahimi is hoping to add more trophies to his collection with Al Ain after helping the club win the ADNOC League title last season.
The forward played an important role in the championship campaign, scoring several crucial goals as Al Ain secured the domestic title.
Having already experienced success with the UAE champions, Rahimi wants the team to build on that achievement when the new season begins.
The Moroccan attacker will now be looking to carry his pre-season form into competitive action as Al Ain aim to maintain their position among the leading clubs in UAE football.
Al Ain step up preparations
The training camps in Morocco and Spain formed part of Al Ain’s preparations for what promises to be another demanding campaign.
Rahimi’s comments suggest the squad has made good progress during the pre-season, with the positive atmosphere within the group providing encouragement ahead of the opening fixtures.
After contributing to last season’s title success, Rahimi will be hoping his goals can once again help Al Ain compete for major honours.
