Rangers agree €8.5m deal in principle for PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech

Rangers and PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech in a deal worth approximately €8.5m.

The understanding between the two clubs represents a decisive step towards completing the move, although the transfer has not yet been fully concluded. A small number of administrative details still need to be settled by the parties before the agreement can be formally completed.

Driouech is now expected to undergo his medical examination as Rangers move closer to confirming his arrival in Scotland. The medical is a customary part of the transfer process and must be successfully completed before the move can be officially announced.

Once those examinations have taken place and the remaining administrative matters have been resolved, the formal confirmation of Driouech’s transfer is expected to follow quickly.

The agreement in principle means the central negotiations between Rangers and PSV Eindhoven have effectively been concluded. However, the outstanding procedures mean the deal remains subject to the final stages of the process.

For now, Driouech’s move should therefore be regarded as close rather than complete. The estimated €8.5m fee has been agreed as part of the arrangement, while the final administrative work and medical examination remain to be completed.

If those steps proceed as expected, Rangers will be able to announce the Moroccan winger as a new arrival. Until then, the transfer remains formally unfinished despite the broad agreement already reached between the Scottish club and PSV Eindhoven.

Driouech’s medical is the next significant stage in the operation. A successful outcome, combined with the completion of the outstanding paperwork and other minor adjustments, would clear the way for the transfer to be made official.

The deal has consequently moved beyond the negotiation phase, with only the final requirements standing between the agreement and its formal announcement. Rangers and PSV Eindhoven have reached the key understanding on the transfer, but the process must still be completed before Driouech’s arrival in Scotland can be confirmed.
