Al Masry announce two Morocco friendlies ahead of 2026-27 season

Al Masry will play two friendly matches during their pre-season training camp in Morocco as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Egyptian club are holding their camp in Marrakech, where they will face Renaissance Zemamra on Wednesday, 12 August. The match is scheduled to begin at 20:00.

Al Masry’s second friendly will be against Kawkab Marrakech on Friday, with that game also set to kick off at 20:00. Both matches will be played at the Marrakech Stadium.

The fixtures will form part of Al Masry’s preparations for the new season, with the club using their time in Morocco to build towards their opening Egyptian Premier League game.

Al Masry are due to face Smouha on Sunday, 22 August, in their first league match of the 2026-27 season.

The two friendlies will give the squad further competitive preparation before the league campaign begins. The first meeting with Renaissance Zemamra will take place four days after the club’s announcement of the matches, while the contest against Kawkab Marrakech will follow later that week.

Al Masry finished fifth in last season’s Egyptian Premier League table. They ended the campaign behind fourth-placed Ceramica Cleopatra.

Their previous season also brought the club a first major success in the Egyptian League Cup. Al Masry won the competition for the first time in their history after beating ENPPI 3-0 in the final.

That victory added a notable achievement to a campaign in which the club finished among the leading sides in the Egyptian Premier League. Their fifth-place finish placed them directly below Ceramica Cleopatra in the final standings.

The Morocco camp therefore comes with Al Masry preparing for a new league campaign after both a top-five domestic finish and their first Egyptian League Cup triumph. The matches against Renaissance Zemamra and Kawkab Marrakech will be the club’s two confirmed friendlies during the camp in Marrakech.

The club announced the arrangements on Sunday, 9 August 2026, confirming the opponents, kick-off times and venue for both matches. The opening fixture against Renaissance Zemamra is scheduled for Wednesday evening, followed by the meeting with Kawkab Marrakech on Friday evening.

Al Masry will then turn their attention to the start of the Egyptian Premier League, when they are scheduled to meet Smouha on Sunday, 22 August.
