Algerian giants MC Alger have completed the signing of Burundi international striker Mossi Nduwumwe from Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars FC.

The 22-year-old forward joins the Algerian champions on a one-year loan deal, with MC Alger securing an option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan period.

Nduwumwe arrives in Algeria after an impressive campaign in the Tanzania Premier League, where he finished as the league’s top scorer last season. The Burundian attacker netted 17 goals, attracting interest from several clubs across the continent.

His goalscoring form has earned him a move to one of North Africa’s most decorated clubs, as MC Alger look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of domestic and continental challenges.

The Algerian side will be hoping Nduwumwe can replicate his prolific form and provide the firepower needed to compete for major honours.

For Singida Black Stars FC, the departure of their leading scorer represents a significant loss, but the deal provides the striker with an opportunity to test himself at a higher level in Algerian football.

Nduwumwe’s arrival continues MC Alger’s efforts to reinforce their squad with promising African talents as they prepare for the upcoming season.
