Real Madrid move to tie down Moroccan forward Brahim Diaz until 2030

Morocco international Brahim Diaz is expected to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid that will keep him at the Spanish giants until 2030, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper AS says an agreement between the club and the 27-year-old was reached last season, although Real Madrid are yet to formally announce the renewal.

According to AS, new coach José Mourinho sees the Moroccan as an important figure in his plans for the coming years.

The Portuguese manager is said to value Brahim’s versatility, tactical awareness and commitment, qualities that allow him to operate in several attacking roles, including on the wing, behind the striker and as a second forward.

Despite intense competition for places at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Moroccan has consistently proved his worth with a series of influential performances.
