Beroe bring in Senegalese-Spanish forward Cheikh Diamanka on free transfer

Senegalese-Spanish centre-forward Cheikh Diamanka has joined Bulgarian club Beroe from Mosta FC on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old striker completed the move on 5 August 2026 and will continue his career in Bulgaria with Beroe, who play in the Vtora Liga. No transfer fee was involved in the switch from the Maltese side.

Diamanka, born in Dakar, is 1.89m tall and prefers his right foot. He has been used as a centre-forward throughout his career and adds an established attacking option to Beroe’s squad.

His move to Stara Zagora follows a short spell with Mosta, whom he joined from Japanese club Fujieda MYFC in January 2026, also on a free transfer. Before that, he spent part of the 2025-26 season with Tochigi SC after moving there on loan from Fujieda MYFC.

The forward returned to Fujieda at the end of December 2025 before leaving the club permanently for Mosta the following month. His latest transfer means he has changed clubs three times during 2025-26, including the loan move to Tochigi.

Diamanka’s career has included spells in Bulgaria, Japan, Malta, Portugal and Spain. He joined Hebar in February 2024 after a period without a club, later moving to Fujieda MYFC in January 2025. His earlier career was spent in Spain with Coruchense, Elche Ilicitano and Elche’s under-19 side.

Across the competitions recorded in his career, Diamanka has scored three goals in 30 efbet Liga appearances, while also registering two assists. He has also scored in the Bulgarian Cup, Japan’s Emperor’s Cup and the Maltese FA Trophy.

The new Beroe forward has now completed a free transfer from Mosta FC.
