Coventry eye €18m-rated Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi

Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi of Nordsjaelland has been linked with a move to Coventry, with the Premier League club reportedly monitoring the 20-year-old.

Yirenkyi has a market value of €18m and remains under contract with the Danish Superliga side until 30 June 2030. The reported interest comes after he began the 2026-27 campaign as a regular starter for Nordsjaelland.

The central midfielder has made two Superliga appearances and featured twice in Conference League qualifying this season, starting all four matches and playing the full 90 minutes in each.

Yirenkyi joined Nordsjaelland’s senior squad from the club’s under-19 side in February 2025. He had previously arrived at the academy from the Right to Dream programme in January 2024.

He also featured for Ghana at the 2026 World Cup, making four appearances and scoring once. He started three of the matches and played 73% of Ghana’s available minutes during the tournament.

Coventry’s interest would come with Nordsjaelland in a strong contractual position, given the midfielder’s long-term deal. No transfer fee or probability of a move has been established, while Yirenkyi remains a Nordsjaelland player.
