Bangladesh Police sign Senegal striker Rassoul Ba on free transfer

Senegalese centre-forward Rassoul Ba has joined Bangladesh Police from Saudi Arabian club Al-Rawdah SC on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old completed the move on 5 August 2026, beginning a new chapter in the Bangladesh Football League after leaving Al-Rawdah. Ba’s arrival follows a productive spell in Bhutan, where he played a key role in Paro FC’s championship-winning campaign during the 2024-25 season.

Ba scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 16 appearances in the Bhutan Premier League, averaging a goal every 76 minutes. His performances helped Paro secure the Bhutanese Champion title before he moved to Al-Rawdah in January 2026, also on a free transfer.

The striker was born in Richard-Toll, Senegal, on 12 February 2001. Standing at 1.87m, he is a right-footed forward whose primary position is centre-forward.

Ba’s move to Bangladesh Police is the latest step in a career that has taken him across several countries. Before joining Paro, he had spent time with Latvian club Liepaja and Lithuanian side Jonava. He joined Liepaja from Jonava in March 2024, with both moves recorded as free transfers.

His career also includes a spell in France with FC Gueugnon, whom he joined from Senegalese club ASC La Linguere in September 2021. Ba began his senior football journey with ASC La Linguere after coming through Linguere’s under-20 side.

His most notable recent output came in Bhutan, where his goals and assists contributed directly to Paro’s title-winning season. He also recorded two goals in 11 appearances in Lithuania’s I Lyga and two goals in 10 Virsliga appearances in Latvia.

Ba now joins Bangladesh Police after his short spell with Al-Rawdah, adding a forward with experience in competitions across Asia and Europe to the club’s squad. His move was completed without a transfer fee on 5 August 2026.
