Alimami Gory swaps Paris FC for Saudi Pro League side Abha

French-Malian winger Alimami Gory has joined Saudi Pro League club Abha from Paris FC, ending his time with the French side after four seasons.

The 29-year-old left winger makes the move on 4 August 2026 after Paris FC’s promotion to Ligue 1. Gory, who is right-footed, arrives in Saudi Arabia following a spell in which he established himself across France’s top two divisions.

Gory joined Paris FC in July 2022 after returning from a loan spell with Belgian club Cercle Brugge. He had initially moved to Cercle from Le Havre in August 2019, before spending the 2020-21 season on loan at Troyes and helping them win the French second tier.

He has made 202 appearances in Ligue 2, scoring 33 goals and providing 25 assists. At Ligue 1 level, Gory has played 24 times, scoring five goals and supplying two assists.

His most productive campaign came before his first-team career had fully developed. Gory scored 15 goals in 23 appearances for Le Havre B in the 2015-16 Championnat CFA 2 season, finishing as the competition’s leading scorer. He later made his senior breakthrough with Le Havre AC before moving abroad to Cercle Brugge.

Gory’s record also includes 14 Coupe de France appearances, with three goals and three assists, as well as five appearances and two goals in the Coupe de la Ligue. He has also featured in the Belgian top flight, recording two goals and two assists in 21 Jupiler Pro League matches.

The move takes Gory into a new domestic league after a career spent largely in France and Belgium. His honours include the 2020-21 French second-tier title with Troyes, while his earlier scoring record at reserve level remains the most prolific single-season mark recorded in his career.

Abha have now secured Gory’s arrival from Paris FC, with the winger beginning a new chapter in the Saudi Pro League.
