Pafos target Haugesund striker Sory Diarra after prolific 2026 campaign

Mali striker Sory Diarra has been linked with a move from Haugesund to Pafos, with the Cyprus League club monitoring the forward after his prolific start to the 2026 season.

Diarra, 26, has scored 23 goals and provided two assists in 16 OBOS-ligaen appearances for Haugesund this campaign. He has started every league match, contributing to more than half of his side’s goals.

The centre-forward is valued at €800,000 and remains under contract with Haugesund until 31 December 2026. No transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour.

Diarra joined the Norwegian club from Romanian side Petrolul on 21 February 2023. He had previously helped Petrolul win the Romanian second division in the 2021-22 season, finishing as the competition’s leading scorer with 15 goals.

His current run is the most productive recorded in the available 2026 campaign figures, with his 23 league goals coming at an average of one every 60 minutes. He has also made one appearance in the NM-Cup this season.

Pafos are understood to be the club linked with the transfer, but the reported interest has not yet resulted in a confirmed move. Diarra’s contractual position gives Haugesund control over his future through the end of 2026.
