Zion Suzuki linked with PSG after major €33m bid

Zion Suzuki is edging closer to a big transfer, with Paris Saint-Germain now reported to be leading the race for the Parma goalkeeper.

The Japan international has impressed enough during the summer’s tournament to attract serious interest from several top clubs, including Newcastle and Juventus, but PSG are said to have already made an offer.

According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, the French champions have tabled a bid worth 33 million euros, which is about 360 million kronor. That would make Suzuki one of the more expensive goalkeeper moves of the window, underlining how highly he is rated across Europe.

Parma are understood to be open to selling the 23-year-old after only two years with the club. Suzuki joined from Sint-Truiden, having previously played for Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan. In July 2024, Parma acquired him for €8.2 million on a five-year contract until June 2029, making him the first Japanese goalkeeper in Serie A history.

His steady rise and strong performances have now put him on the verge of a major step up to one of the continent’s biggest teams.
