The Etalons Dames have begun preparations for the second round of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers, with qualification identified as their main objective.
Burkina Faso’s women’s team held its first training session at the Stade du 4-Aout in Ouagadougou on Tuesday. The session took place under the watch of Oumarou Sawadogo, president of the Federation burkinabe de football (FBF).
It was the team’s first outing under new head coach Issa Balbon, who has taken charge ahead of the next stage of the qualifying campaign. The players made their ambitions clear from the opening session, setting their sights on securing a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The squad plans to use every training session to build towards the upcoming fixtures and ensure it is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.
Sawadogo joined the players during the session and offered the FBF’s backing as they began their preparations. He encouraged them to approach their work with seriousness and determination throughout the campaign.
The FBF president also called on the players to increase their efforts and do everything possible to give themselves the strongest chance of progressing to the Olympic Games.
