Hedi Montassar joins PS Sakiet Edda after Zaouiet Sousse exit

Tunisia midfielder Hedi Montassar has joined PS Sakiet Edda from Zaouiet Sousse on a free transfer, completing his move to the Ligue 1 club on 3 August 2026.

Montassar, who plays in midfield, leaves Zaouiet Sousse after making the switch to PS Sakiet Edda during the 2026-27 season. The transfer was completed without a fee, with the move taking the Tunisian player into the country’s top domestic league.

His recent competitive record includes two appearances in the Tunisian Cup, amounting to 240 minutes of playing time. He did not register a goal or an assist in those matches.

The move gives PS Sakiet Edda a Tunisia international in their midfield group. Montassar’s national-club listing is Progres Sportif Sakiet Eddaier, while his new club is competing in Ligue 1.

The transfer also marks a change of club for Montassar after his spell with Zaouiet Sousse. No contract expiry date has been announced for his agreement with PS Sakiet Edda.
