Sevilla make Chidera Ejuke available as Anderlecht assess move for Nigeria winger

Sevilla are prepared to listen to offers for Chidera Ejuke, with Anderlecht currently regarded as the most concrete option for the Nigeria international.

According to Spanish publication El Sevillista, Ejuke is no longer part of the plans at the Andalusian club. The winger has not played a single minute during pre-season and has reportedly been encouraged to consider a new challenge.

Anderlecht have been looking for greater competition in the wide positions for several weeks. The Belgian club have already signed Oliver Antman, who is familiar with the Eredivisie, but still view Ejuke as an attractive possibility.

Ejuke has previous experience of football in both Belgium and the Netherlands. He spent a brief period in Belgium and made a positive impression during his time with Royal Antwerp FC. His record in the Eredivisie stands at 29 appearances, in which he scored nine goals and provided four assists.

However, his spell in Spain has failed to match that earlier impact. Since joining Sevilla, Ejuke has struggled to establish himself, and his absence from the club’s pre-season matches has increased speculation that he is available for transfer.

El Sevillista reports that Anderlecht remain the strongest destination at this stage. Interest has also emerged from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the United States, although the Brussels-based side are currently considered the most realistic option.

Sevilla would reportedly be willing to co-operate on a deal worth about three million euros. That figure is below Ejuke’s higher market value, but it could make the winger an attainable target for clubs seeking an experienced wide player.

There is no indication yet that Anderlecht have turned their interest into formal negotiations. The Belgian club’s recruitment plans on the wings, combined with Ejuke’s availability, have placed him among the options under consideration, but a transfer remains uncertain.

For now, the situation depends on whether Anderlecht decide to move beyond their initial interest and open talks with Sevilla. The Spanish side appear ready to facilitate Ejuke’s departure, while competition from Saudi Arabia and the United States could influence the winger’s next destination.

Across his 29 Eredivisie matches, he contributed nine goals and four assists, while his time at Royal Antwerp FC also left a favourable impression.
