ENPPI send Egypt Under-20 midfielder Seif Safaga on loan to Chabab Temouchent

ENPPI have announced that midfielder Seif Safaga will spend the 2026-27 season on loan with Algerian club Chabab Temouchent, making him the second Egyptian player to join the newly promoted side after Mohamed Zalouk.

The one-year move was confirmed by ENPPI on Saturday, 1 August 2026. The Egyptian club said it wished Safaga success during his spell in Algeria and hoped the experience would help him continue his development and demonstrate his potential.

ENPPI also expressed the hope that the 21-year-old would return with greater experience and strength before continuing his career with the Egyptian club.

Safaga becomes the latest Egyptian player to join Chabab Temouchent, following the arrival of Zalouk. The Algerian club will compete in the country’s top division next season after securing promotion from the second tier.

Chabab Temouchent are expected to discover their fixture schedule on Monday, when the draw for the new domestic season takes place in Algeria.

Safaga is primarily a midfielder but can also operate as a right-back or centre-back. He made five appearances for ENPPI, playing a total of 94 minutes in the club’s colours.

The loan to Chabab Temouchent is not his first temporary move away from ENPPI. He previously joined WE on loan during the second half of last season.

At international level, Safaga represented Egypt at Under-20 level and helped the team finish fourth at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. He also played in two matches against Japan and Chile at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

ENPPI said the move was intended to provide Safaga with a successful professional experience while allowing him to continue progressing as a player. His versatility across midfield and defence gives him the option of competing for opportunities in more than one position during his season in Algeria.

Chabab Temouchent’s promotion means Safaga will now have the chance to play in Algeria’s first division after spending the opening stage of his senior career in Egypt. The club’s league campaign will take shape after Monday’s domestic draw, with the full schedule set to determine the early challenges facing the newly promoted team.

The agreement also links Safaga with a club that has already attracted another young Egyptian player in Zalouk. Both players will therefore be part of Chabab Temouchent’s plans as the club prepares for its first season back in the Algerian top flight after promotion from the second tier.
