Qatar SC ask Al Masry about signing Palestinian midfielder Amide Sawafteh
Qatar SC have asked Al Masry about the possibility of signing Palestinian midfielder Amide Sawafteh and are waiting for the Egyptian club’s response.
Sawafteh joined Al Masry in January after moving from Jordanian club Al-Salt. The 2025 Arab Cup Palestinian international has made 12 appearances for Al Masry since arriving and has provided two assists.
According to FilGoal.com, Qatar SC have expressed their interest in the player and are now awaiting Al Masry’s decision on whether he will be allowed to leave during the current summer transfer window.
Sawafteh was part of the Palestine squad for the 2025 Arab Cup, before completing his move to Al Masry from Al-Salt in January. He has since featured 12 times for the Egyptian side, contributing two assists during that period.
The interest from Qatar SC comes as Al Masry continue to reshape their squad during the summer transfer market. The club have completed four new signings so far, with Mohamed Shokry the latest arrival.
Shokry joined from Al Ahly and became Al Masry’s fourth signing of the window. His move followed the recruitment of Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Algerian defender Abdallah El-Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi and Mostafa El-Ash from Al Ahly.
Al Masry must now respond to Qatar SC’s request for Sawafteh, with the player’s future at the club awaiting a decision. No agreement has yet been reported between the two clubs, and Qatar SC are waiting to discover whether the Egyptian side is prepared to consider the proposed transfer.
