Saturday football fixtures: Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid in pre-season action

Friendly matches resume on Saturday, 1 August, as clubs continue their preparations for the 2026-27 season, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid among the leading sides in action.

The day’s schedule features a series of international friendlies before the Portuguese Super Cup brings the programme to a competitive conclusion.

Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur at 12:45, with the match available on the Miraya app. Brighton & Hove Albion meet Strasbourg at 13:00, while FC Tokyo play Borussia Dortmund at the same time, with that game being shown on MBC Action.

Bayer Leverkusen begin the day’s schedule against Rot-Weiss Essen at 12:00. Nurnberg then take on Real Oviedo at 14:00.

Manchester City will face Inter at 14:30, with coverage available on the Miraya app. Manchester United meet Atletico de Madrid at 16:00, and that fixture will be broadcast by Abu Dhabi Sports.

Also at 16:00, Nice play Fiori. Cardiff City then host Roma at 17:00.

Real Madrid face Fiorentina at 19:00 in one of the evening’s headline fixtures. The match will be shown on Abu Dhabi Sports and the STC app.

Stoke City meet Valencia at 20:30, before three further friendlies begin at 21:00. Girona play Arsenal, with coverage on On Sport Plus, while Real Betis face Almeria and Lens take on Villarreal.

The final match of the friendly programme sees Porto play Torreense at 22:15.

The Portuguese Super Cup fixture will be broadcast on Sharjah Sports.
