Max Eberl rules out Alphonso Davies exit from Bayern Munich

Max Eberl has made Bayern Munich’s position on Alphonso Davies very clear: the left-back is not leaving.

Speaking during Nathaniel Brown’s official presentation, the club’s sporting director said a departure was not on the table despite the growing options on Bayern’s left side.

Eberl was asked about the competition created by Brown, Hiroki Ito, and the emergency use of Josip Stanisic and Konrad Laimer in that role. He replied that those recent deployments were only down to squad necessity, not a sign that Bayern are preparing to move Davies on. His message was direct and leaves little room for doubt.

The Bavarians have added more depth, but Eberl stressed that the club values the flexibility now available in the squad. He also praised Brown’s qualities while joking that there is still room for improvement, especially in the air.

Bayern’s strategy appears to be about building options rather than opening the door to a major sale. For Davies, that means his place remains secure for now, and any speculation about a summer exit should cool quickly.
