Bouaddi salutes hometown roots as Amal Tiznit secure landmark promotion to Morocco’s top tier

Ayyoub Bouaddi has sent a heartfelt video message to Amal Tiznit after the club from his family’s hometown clinched promotion to the Botola Pro D1 for the first time in their history.

The Moroccan side, based in the Souss region, sealed their place in the top flight on 21 July by coming through a fiercely contested play-off against Olympique Dcheira.

Promotion was confirmed after a 1-1 draw in the second leg in Berrechid, a result that followed a goalless first leg and was enough to take Amal Tiznit into the elite of Moroccan football for the very first time.

Bouaddi, an 18-year-old midfielder with LOSC and one of the most highly rated young talents with the Morocco national team, reacted by recording himself to congratulate everyone at the club on what he described as a historic achievement.

Ties to Tiznit

Although Bouaddi was born in Senlis, France, and grew up in Lille, his parents come from Tiznit, a town in central Morocco around 15km from the Atlantic coast.

That family connection has given the player a strong emotional link to the area, and his intervention underlined how much the club’s rise means to the local community and to Moroccans abroad with roots in the city.
