Real Madrid’s €100m move for Yan Diomande rejected as RB Leipzig hold out for higher fee

Real Madrid have seen a €100m offer for RB Leipzig’s highly rated midfielder Yan Diomande turned down, with the Bundesliga club insisting on a guaranteed fee in excess of that figure as Paris Saint-Germain also battle for his signature.

The Spanish giants submitted a proposal this week worth €100m in total, made up of €90m up front and a further €10m in bonuses, as they moved decisively to try to secure the 20-year-old’s arrival.

Leipzig, however, have refused to budge. The German club, convinced of Diomande’s value and potential, immediately rejected the approach and are demanding a higher fixed sum before even considering a sale of a player they view as one of their key assets.

PSG agree personal terms but stall on fee

PSG have been working on the deal for several weeks and are firmly in the race.
