PSG turn to Charles De Ketelaere as Maghnes Akliouche deal remains uncertain

Paris Saint-Germain have added Atalanta forward Charles De Ketelaere to their list of attacking targets as uncertainty continues to surround a possible move for Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche.

The French champions are closely monitoring their options in the final third and view the Belgian international as a player who could provide a different profile to their attack. However, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that De Ketelaere is not currently PSG’s primary target, with the club still evaluating their next move.

The 25-year-old has attracted admiration in Paris due to his tactical intelligence, versatility and ability to operate across multiple attacking positions. Those qualities have made him a potential alternative should negotiations for Akliouche fail to progress.

Atalanta demand €50 million for in-demand attacker

Atalanta are understood to value De Ketelaere at around €50 million, with the Italian club aware of growing interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides.

According to Corriere della Sera, Bayern Munich and several Premier League clubs have also registered interest in the forward, who has rebuilt his reputation in Bergamo following a difficult spell at AC Milan.

De Ketelaere’s contract with Atalanta runs until 2028, giving the Serie A club a strong negotiating position as they consider offers for one of their most influential players.

Since joining Atalanta, the Belgian has delivered impressive numbers, contributing 32 goals and 31 assists in 142 appearances. His performances have established him as one of the most technically gifted attackers in Italy’s top flight.

World Cup display strengthens De Ketelaere’s profile

De Ketelaere also enhanced his reputation on the international stage during the World Cup, where he scored Belgium’s only goal in their clash against Spain.

That performance further highlighted his ability to deliver in high-pressure moments and has increased interest in his services ahead of the next transfer window.

While PSG continue to track Akliouche as a preferred option, De Ketelaere represents a proven alternative who could become a serious target if the Monaco forward’s situation remains unresolved.
