Wydad Athletic Club records $1.13 million financial deficit despite $17.5 million revenue

Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club recorded an estimated financial deficit of approximately $1.13 million during the latest financial year after total expenditure exceeded the club’s overall revenue.

According to the club’s latest financial figures, Wydad generated combined revenue of approximately $17.51 million across its association and company structures.

The association accounted for around $2.69 million, while the company generated approximately $14.15 million.

However, the club’s total expenses rose to an estimated $18.63 million, resulting in a negative financial balance for the year.

The association incurred expenses of approximately $2.43 million, while the company’s operating costs reached about $16.20 million.

The figures indicate that Wydad spent significantly more than it earned over the financial period, leading to an estimated deficit of $1.13 million.

Despite generating substantial commercial income through its company structure, the Casablanca-based club faced rising operational and administrative costs that ultimately outweighed its revenues.
