Juventus rule out move for Morocco star Brahim Diaz amid transfer speculation
Juventus FC have firmly dismissed reports linking the Italian giants with a move for Morocco and Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz in the current summer transfer window.
Reports went rife that the Italian football heavyweights are considering a move for Diaz, who struggled for regular game time at Real Madrid.
However, Juventus sporting director Giovanni Carnevale has moved quickly to end the speculation, describing the reports as entirely inaccurate and stressing that the Serie A club has no plans to pursue the Morocco international.
Speaking to Football Italia, Carnevale stated that the rumours surrounding Diaz were “completely unfounded,” adding that similar claims involving Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessié and France left-back Theo Hernandez were also false.
The Juventus executive explained that while all three players are among the top performers in European football, their transfer fees and overall financial packages do not fit within the club’s current recruitment strategy.
He noted that Juventus remain committed to a sustainable approach in the transfer market, focusing on players who align with the club’s sporting and financial objectives rather than pursuing expensive marquee signings.
“These reports are false,” Carnevale said. “These are very important players, but if we analyse their transfer costs and market value, we find that they cannot be part of our plans at the moment.”
The Moroccan international has attracted interest from several clubs following another impressive campaign, with his creativity, versatility and technical quality continuing to earn admiration across Europe.
Capable of operating as an attacking midfielder, winger or second striker, Diaz has become an important option thanks to his intelligent movement, close ball control and ability to influence matches in the final third.
Recent reports in Italy had claimed Juventus were exploring the possibility of signing the 26-year-old, particularly amid suggestions that changes could be made to Real Madrid’s attacking options this summer.
However, Juventus’ latest statement makes it clear that no negotiations are taking place and that the club has no intention of pursuing a deal under its current transfer strategy.
The Turin-based side continues to prioritise financial discipline while strengthening its squad, with club officials determined to balance competitiveness on the pitch with long-term economic sustainability.
For now, Brahim Diaz remains focused on his future with Real Madrid, while Juventus turn their attention to alternative targets that better fit the club’s sporting and financial plans ahead of the new season.
