Victor Osimhen: PSG eye move for Galatasaray and Nigeria striker

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, currently at Galatasaray, is being strongly linked with a move to Paris St-Germain as the French champions consider a major addition to their attacking options.

The 27-year-old centre-forward, valued at around 75m, is understood to be a leading target for PSG, with the likelihood of a deal described as around 70%. Any transfer would require negotiations with Galatasaray, where Osimhen is under contract until 30 June 2029, placing the Turkish champions in a strong position at the bargaining table.

Osimhen has been a prolific scorer since arriving in Istanbul. In the Super Lig he has struck 41 goals in 52 appearances, with a minutes-per-goal ratio under 100, underlining the consistency that has caught PSGs attention. He also helped Galatasaray secure back-to-back Turkish titles in 2024-25 and 2025-26.

The Lagos-born forward joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli on 31 July 2025 for a fee of 75m, having initially moved to the club on loan the previous season. His time in Italy brought 65 goals in 108 Serie A matches and the 2022-23 league title, form that earned him the African Footballer of the Year award in 2023.

Osimhen has also impressed on the European stage, scoring 16 goals in 27 Champions League appearances, a record that aligns with PSGs ambition to strengthen for deep runs in the competition.

For now, Galatasaray can point to a long-term deal running to 2029, ensuring they are under no pressure to sell as PSG weigh up whether to test their resolve.
