Pape Sissoko: Mali forward at Stade Reims linked with SV Ried move

Mali centre-forward Pape Sissoko of Stade Reims is being linked with a move to Austrian side SV Ried, with the 20-year-old forward emerging as a potential attacking option for the Bundesliga club. The French side, currently in Ligue 2, have the striker under contract until 30 June 2028, so any deal would require agreement on a transfer fee rather than a free move.

Sissoko, born in Bamako in December 2005, has been on the books at Reims since stepping up from the clubs youth ranks, earning promotion from the U19s to the B team in 2024 before joining the first-team squad the following summer. His current market value is listed at around 100,000, a figure that could make him an accessible target for Ried as they look to reinforce their forward line.

The 1.87m right-footed striker has already experienced a series of moves designed to accelerate his development. After officially joining the Reims first team in July 2025, he was loaned to Debrecen in Hungary the following month before another temporary switch to AS Nancy in January 2026, returning to Reims at the end of that season.

Sissokos most eye-catching spell came in Frances fourth tier, where he scored 12 goals in 16 National 2 appearances, and he was prolific at youth level with eight goals in just three U19 league matches. He has also made senior appearances across Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, as well as in the Coupe de France.

For now, Sissoko remains tied to Stade Reims on a long-term deal through 2028, with his future the subject of mounting interest from Austria.
