Sean Adarkwa: Woking sign former Wealdstone striker on free transfer
Woking have signed centre-forward Sean Adarkwa from National League rivals Wealdstone on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old, who can play through the middle in attack, joins the Surrey club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign after spending last season with Wealdstone in the same division. The move keeps the London-born forward in the National League, with both clubs competing in the fifth tier of English football.
Adarkwa, who stands at 1.80m, represents England and Ghana at national level and adds further attacking depth to Wokings squad. He previously spent time in Scotland with Arbroath, having moved there in January 2023 from Queens Park Rangers under-21 side.
During his spell at Arbroath, Adarkwa reached a market valuation of 100,000 in 2023, reflecting his development in senior football before his subsequent switch to Wealdstone later that summer. His valuation later fell to zero following his move back to England, underlining a recent period of transition in his career.
Before stepping into the senior game, Adarkwa came through the youth and under-18 ranks at West Ham United, progressing to the clubs under-21 side in 2019. He later joined QPRs under-21s in 2021 and gained further first-team experience during a loan spell at Maidstone United in 2022.
By moving to Woking from another National League club, Adarkwa continues a career path rooted in English football, with experience in both development squads and senior sides across England and Scotland.
