Datius Peter: Mtibwa Sugars Tanzanian right-back linked with Geita Gold SC move

Tanzanian defender Datius Peter of Mtibwa Sugar has been linked with a move to Geita Gold SC as the Premier League side assess options at right-back.

The 27-year-old, who plays primarily as a right-back, joined Mtibwa Sugar ahead of the 2024-25 campaign after leaving fellow Tanzanian club Kagera Sugar. His performances in domestic competition have now prompted interest from Geita Gold as they look to strengthen their defensive line.

Peters potential switch would represent a continuation of his career in Tanzanian football, with both his current club and Geita Gold competing in the same national set-up. The defender wears the number 15 shirt for Mtibwa Sugar and is regarded as a specialist in the right-back role.
