Hermi MFutila: Paris SG U23 sign teenage centre-back from Reims on free transfer
Paris SG U23 have completed the signing of 17-year-old centre-back Hermi M’Futila from Stade de Reims U19 on a free transfer.
The defender, who was born in Kinshasa on 1 November 2008 and represents both DR Congo and France, joins Paris Saint-Germains U23 set-up ahead of the 2026-27 season. He moves within the French youth system after progressing through Reims ranks to the U19 side.
M’Futila is a right-footed central defender whose main position is at the heart of the back line. His arrival from Reims U19 team adds another teenage option to PSGs development squad structure, with the move finalised on 7 July 2026.
Before stepping up to Reims U19 in October 2024, M’Futila featured for the clubs U17 side, having joined the Champagne outfit in July 2023. That move had followed a spell in the youth ranks of Montrouge FC 92, which he entered in 2022 from Cergy Pontoise FC, underlining a steady rise through the Ile-de-France and national youth pathways.
At international youth level, M’Futila is already part of the Paris Saint-Germain Espoirs set-up, reflecting his integration into the clubs broader talent pool. His switch from a National U19 Group B side at Reims to PSGs U23 team represents a step into a higher age category within an elite academy environment.
M’Futilas free transfer from Stade de Reims U19 to Paris SG U23 is effective for the 2026-27 campaign.
