Mahi Gnemagnon: FC Metz Forward Joins RFC Seraing on Loan

Teenage centre-forward Mahi Gnemagnon has joined Belgian side RFC Seraing from FC Metz B on a loan deal confirmed for the 2026-27 season.

The 19-year-old, who plays as a central striker and is right-footed, moves from the Metz reserve set-up to the Challenger Pro League club as part of an active loan transfer agreed on 7 July 2026. The deal includes a scheduled return to Metz at the end of the campaign, with Gnemagnon due back in France on 30 June 2027.

Born in Paris on 18 May 2007, Gnemagnon holds both French and Ivorian nationality and stands at 1.84m. His switch to Seraing marks his first move outside France and the first senior loan of his career, offering him an opportunity to gain experience in Belgian professional football.

Gnemagnon arrives at Seraing after progressing through the youth and reserve structure at Metz. He stepped up from Metzs under-19s to FC Metz B ahead of the 2025-26 season, having previously featured for the clubs under-17 side. That internal promotion followed his arrival at Metz from Football Club 93 Bobignys youth ranks in 2023.

Before joining Bobigny in 2021, Gnemagnon developed at CO Vincennes at youth level, building a pathway that has taken him from the Paris football scene into the professional environment in France and now Belgium. His most recent registration was with FC Metz B, where he is listed as an attacking player specialising at centre-forward.

The confirmed loan to RFC Seraing places Gnemagnon in the Challenger Pro League for the 2026-27 season before his scheduled return to FC Metz.
